    Saudi Industry Minister meets with several ministers in South Africa

    On his official visit to South Africa, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef held talks with several ministers, senior government officials, and investors participating in the Mining INDABA 2022 conference. He led the Saudi delegation to the conference. Al-Khorayef met with ministers from Niger, Angola, Mali, South Africa, Chad, Senegal, and Sierra Leone on the sidelines of the conference in Cape Town.

    Saudi Industry Minister meets with several ministers in South AfricaDuring the meetings, the minister addressed promising investment opportunities and the prevailing conditions of the mining sector in the Kingdom. He outlined the mining investment system, the volume of mineral wealth in the Kingdom, and the plans the ministry is putting in place to maximize the sector’s benefits, referring to the top updates on the systems and laws in the sector to create the necessary climate to attract investment.

    He also discussed cooperation and investment opportunities between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and African countries. This was done to enhance the development of skills and innovation in the mining sector in Africa, as well as to improve the quality of life for all. Through its participation, Saudi Arabia wants to draw attention to its accomplishments in developing the mining sector and attracting investments worth SAR 30 billion (USD 8 billion) in 2021.
